AC Milan: Donnarumma, Abate, Alex, Zapata, Antonelli, Honda, Montolivo, Kucka, Bonaventura, Bacca, Niang

Milan put up a much better fight in this match than the last meeting with Napoli, losing 4-0 at the San Siro. This game was overwhelmingly dominated by Napoli in the stats, as they maintained 65 percent of possession and had 16 shots, but only 4 hit the target. Milan’s defensive discipline kept them in this game, as they managed to make it increasingly difficult in the final third, only allowing 4 shots to get to the youngster Donnarumma. On the other end of the pitch, Bonaventura’s goal came as the eventual equalizer, and he knew just as well as the fans that his goal was the most important part of the game. The fact that these teams were tied for so long meant Milan never had to participate in full attacks if they were to settle for the one point away. In addition, the goal by Insigne took a heavy deflection off Abate An overall impressive performance by Milan to get a point away from home, and a somewhat disappointing one from Napoli, being the home, and better, team.
